The top four reasons included: 1. Unaware of the anti-idling engine regulations; 2. Taxis waiting to pick customers or parents waiting to pick their children from school; 3. Loading and unloading of goods at non-designated areas and 4. Drivers resting in their vehicle during short coffee or lunch break. Smoky VehicleSwitch off vehicle when stationary

I have to admit that sometimes it is not easy to turn off the aircon as our Singapore weather is very hot and humid. This is especially true if you are waiting in an open air car park. But rules are rules and we have to follow. Thanks for reminding us. The top four reasons included: 1. Unaware of the anti-idling engine regulations; 2. I got a better one.
Waiting for a parking lot with stationary lights on.
if you choose to off the engine and a UNREASONABLE vehicle which is on going saw the chance and took the carpark you waited for a long time, that fellow will said you are too slow.
It happened to me on Monday with a Lady Driver.
I don't have the time to argue with her so i drove off to look for another parking lot.

NEA also said that members of the public can also report others who leave their engines on idle despite parking by taking details like the registration number, location date and time.
Reports can be made through the hotline 1800 2255 632 or the myENV app.
By the way, I feel all Singaporean should support the Nation Law.
All citizen are equal in the eyes of the law.
If any of us spotted Home team Vehicle, G plate Vehicle, Cisco Vehicle or Motorbike idle not because of traffic movement, we should contact NEA and ask for an update on situation by email.

There are many lorry exhausted out thick black smoke. This is peculiarly to Malaysia lorry. Some poorly maintain taxi and motorbike also like that. kns. So, is it LTA or NEA responsibility? For Malaysia lorry, it can be detected when they come in to SG. Why then no enforcement leh? A few months ago, I received a fine for crossing a double white line when I was exiting the SLE to Lentor Avenue. I had to cross the white line because all the cars in front of mine did emergency breaks when they saw a policeman stationed there. I either crash into the cars or cross the double white line. It was a no brainer. But, as far as the police is concerned, they did not see that they are the ones who can cause accidents. Yes, I tried to appeal online but was rejected. As far as they are concerned, I did admit to crossing the double white lines. Such is life in Singapore. Not ideal but still one of the best cities in the world to live in.... just that one is best to be financially comfortable in Singapore.

Sorry to hear what had happened.
The thing is they don't care whether we start an accident since the liability is all on our side.
They will only ask why we don't drive slower.
We just have to react the way to avoid accident no matter what, even if it means we have to be summoned.
