During my time in the UK, I love investing in oil exploration companies, especially the penny stocks. My favourite was a company listed on the Irish stock exchange called Tuskar Resources. Just before it announced exploration results, the share price will multiply and then, over the months ahead, it will fall back to earth. It was wonderful buying these when no one wanted and then waiting for news on its exploration results and selling the shares before the release of these results. Yes, I am looking at some Australian mining and exploration stocks as I enjoy the adrenaline rush that comes with such investments. However, I will be taking my time as I will only buy when the market has collapsed. Because of the expected large amount of shale oil coming out of the US in the near future, I am now more inclined towards gold mining companies rather than oil ones.... especially if gold falls below US$1,000 per ounce. online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702303763804579183510128371686

Candy188, what is life without a bit of fun!
Instead of buying physical gold, I think there will be more upside buying the gold mining stocks that have plummeted to earth...

Not easy for me to incorporate your element of fun (trading activites) into my mainstream investing hobby. Have fun in trading.

I am hoping to find some fundamentally sound gold mining company when the market collapses.... pertama.freeforums.net/post/688/thread

Mirach is one of the oil exploration companies which fits the gameplay as per your description: "the share price will multiply and then, over the months ahead, it will fall back to earth." Mirach Ener — The Elliott Wave Chart PatternBased on the Elliott Wave chart pattern, crucial support @ S$0.14, classic baseline support @ S$0.05; expect Mirach to retest the last low @ S$0.14 scored on 28 Oct 2013 and hit lower low to close the gap between S$0.164 and S$0.14 created on 27 Jun 2013.
