Just ordered some products from Amazon.com and am surprised that it is still cheaper to buy certain products from them. This is especially true if your order is over US$125 as you can then qualify for their free delivery under AmazonGlobal saver shipping. Just that one has to check whether the product can be shipped to Singapore and to do this, one has to add the product to the cart and then click on their link: Estimate shipping and tax. For us in Singapore, it is important not to purchase more than S$400 worth of products as this will then attract GST. It is better to split up the order into 2 separate ones. In Amazon.com, when you check out, make sure you select Free Shipping as the system will default to you paying for shipping! Finally, it is best to pay in US$ as the Amazon exchange rate is not as attractive. They currently charge 1 USD to 1.3275 SGD. Even though this includes all the fees, I have checked from my recent credit card bills that our local banks charge a rate of about 1.3 and this too includes all the fees. For foreign transactions that are transacted in Singapore dollars, I recall reading somewhere that our Singapore banks can charge a further 1% fee as I think VISA charges the bank a fee for clearing as well. I am now looking to replace my primary router and the ASUS RT-N66U sells in Amazon.com for US$125 while in the recent IT Show, this was on sale here for $209. Looks like it is still cheaper to buy from Amazon.com. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006QB1RPY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DERitfairsg.com/itshow2014/asus-networking-wireless-routers-repeaters-rt-ac68e-price-list-flyer-brochure-12648/

This afternoon, I accidentally went to the Popular Members Sale in Bras Basah complex as my son needed some textbooks. The sale was great as there was a discount of 25% off most things in the entire store. For CDs and IT gadgets, the discount was 10%.
Lots of people especially in the top floor where they have stationery, toys, food and IT gadgets. I think the sale is just for today and tomorrow. If you are looking for a place to take the kids tomorrow, this may be a good place. Just that one needs to be a Popular member or one can apply for membership there and then.

The Isetan private sale is very good today. Raoul shirts were selling for 85% off! Good quality shirts but I am amazed that the brand was willing to sell their shirts at such prices.... around $28 per shirt after the discounts.
Tons of people and lots of kids as well given that this is the holiday period. Also got a Marbella N52 GS for $99 as my wife prefer to have the Galactio GPS software instead of the MalSing one which was loaded in the Garmin GPS that I bought earlier.

Raining very heavily. Just ordered Pizzahut delivery.
Best way to order is to use their mobile app. All the offers are the same through the web or through the mobile app. However, if you order more than $30 worth through their mobile app, you get 4 free wings. Moreover, if you use this code: HOTWG in your order, you get an additional 10 free wings.
