Hi oldman,
if he can do it at his age?
You haven't reach your peak!
I told my friend the other day...he said he is old already at 36. What nonsense is that?
If one lifespan is 85 to 90. He is not even half way there?
I find ppl using excuses not to advance in each life cycle?
I have still a lot to contribute to society.

Lemonade, not to worry. I can move postings around very quickly with this software. I think I was too fast in moving your posting across to this thread and got you a bit confused.

Very True.
My princess comes first.
Next yr she will be primary one...Just celebrated her birthday yesterday.
Work wise, still happy with my job.
Investment wise, have my errors and losses, gained & profited.
Punting wise, just like what you posted...of some similarity.

But we must remember to keep this place like a kampung. Once it grows too big too fast, it really becomes troublesome to manage. I rather enjoy the atmosphere when it is at this kampung stage. In case you are wondering why I can respond quickly, this is because I have email notification for some of the discussions. pertama.freeforums.net/thread/209/email-notification

Agree, look at SI of today!
So many ppl have so much ego.
In open forum, you roughly can gauge who is smoking the meat?
Ppl questioned your integrity with one posting of yours with biased stand.
Makes me wonder should I continue to post in SI?
I met few SI members In real life & most met are nice. Took time for me to be comfortable in cyber before being real friend.
That's life I think, without example like facebook...friend are lost in time.
BUT you see so much cyber bullying. Some use bombastic English. I keep it simple for the mass!

Thanks lemonade. I looked at SI more as an investment than as a business. It was already managed by a CEO and his team. Li ke every investment, there is a buy price and a sell price.
One must not be emotional over any investment as frankly, few businesses can last even a lifetime, as you correctly pointed out. I still have dreams of creating a Berkshire Hathaway like company based in Singapore.... though my forte will be to invest in regional internet companies.

Problem is that I am not rushed into doing anything and will take my time to build this. Pertama.com is just one part of the jigsaw.
After I have achieved this dream, then writing another book will be more meaningful. Hi oldman, perhaps the passion is the driving force in creating Shareinvestor that you could arrive at the decision to dispose the investment when the time is ripe so as to move on another project. When my brother was around 17 years, he mentioned that he had the ambition to become a millionaire, that drew laughter from us as we thought he is just dreaming. However, at the age of 39, he attained the status of millionaire. Look like it is time for me to Dream BIG.

Will be able to decipher your secret code when I reach the financial freedom status. However, I truly believe that as the more I share, the more I reap. Maybe not in terms of monetary gain but real happiness attained though. Guess the good thing now is that I do NOT need to make this site into a business as I make my living from my investments and this is more a Hobby site. If it develops into a business later, my intention is to ensure that all those who helped me along the way will be recognised for their efforts. I think it is unfair for an internet site to depend on its users for content and yet, not recognise its users for their contributions in the event the site becomes successful. Contributors will however have to trust me on how I will do this in the event the site becomes successful. Yes, it is easier for me to think this way as I am financially comfortable and have no real need for another business. When you reach this stage in your life, the Sharing of Success becomes so Much More Important than simply adding dollars to your account, which will mean less and less as the years go by. In the meantime, I hope that users will view this site as a place for them to store their information as collectively, the information stored will be more valuable than storing these individually as in the case of facebook or blogs.

Our time on this earth is determined by the person upstairs. We should not worry about how long we have left as we will never know the answer to that question until it is too late. Instead, let's Enjoy Every Day Doing what we LIKE doing the Most.
For me, it is always ~~ my Family FIRST, ~~~ then my investments ~~~~ and my business. Majority of the people are chasing the material gain that they have slipped their minds who are they putting in the immense effort for such that the bonding is lost by the time they are ready for the kids.
