An analysis into the wealth of City Harvest Church — 29 Mar 2010 Anyone who has the ability to consistently make millions of dollars in the long run must be someone with special talent... "If one day the Pastor switches to become a businessman, I will definitely consider investing in the company that he heads and founds." "If City Harvest Church is listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange, I will certainly buy it. It will be one stock that I am confident of hitting a return of 30-fold, 60-fold, 100-fold returns." Why Sun Ho failed to crack US market ~ 25 Oct 2015 Judge: Sun Ho's music success was 'inflated' ~ 25 Oct 2015 CHC Confessions8 Apr 2013 Just say some things that happened and things that I experienced. - Was there at 1999 Hollywood when Ps Kong spoke during 1st Fruit Sunday (one week after Arise & Build).
- Arise & Build was after 10 Commandments seminar.
- Ps Kong preached in a very distrubed manner because he was upset that the pledge amt that came in was lower that previous year. He commented that the faith of our church had gone down. I felt guilty upon hearing Ps Kong's words.
- Ps Kong went down from the pulpit and stood on a chair in the first row instead, preaching in a very strong manner that we have another chance to give again.
- I put in my pledge amt. Pls note that this is the revised amt.
- Ps Kong was about to end the sermon when he challenged us to change the amt again.
- *** Now this is the most impt part. Ps Kong said: This is the last time he is calling for Arise & Build. Hence give the best you can.***
- I wrote my amt and this amt is my total. I had no savings already and all money to the church, including my bonus and all. I was only earning $1k plus.
- We sang this song while holding our pledge envelopes: "These things.... I have spoken upon you, that in Me, you might have peace... in the world you shall have tribulation.... but be of good cheer, be of good cheer... for I have overcome... the world.... x 3"
After that, ANOTHER ARISE & BUILD! What integrity is Ps Kong saying? But I still gave.. So did my gf then. She gave the church all. She gave until she had no money. I stopped giving after some years and saved some money. Fortunately I did, because we got married and all the money came from me. And my wife's money all went to the church for more than 10 years. The reality is: I supported the house while she supported God's house. She praised God for all good fortunes and no lack of money in marriage, while I used all other methods to raise money for marriage and house. So the statement is: my wife is going heaven for not supporting the house while I am going hell for supporting the marriage. Why not this way - I also give to CHC, and both of us can raise our hands and praise God and let Ps Kong give us the funds to support the marriage and house then. I also want to go heaven. My brother is also doing the same thing. HE is still so active in church for more than 10 years and ALWAYS borrow money from me even though he is working and has plans to get married. $0 savings. I lent him the money because he is my brother but he is giving his salary to the church. All in all, he said he is not using my money to give to the church, but his salary instead. I wonder......how can an educated person talk like this. Money in left pocket out and money in right pocket in is also the same money right? If he didn't give everything to the church, then he doesn't need to borrow money from me. I have awaken and I hope my wife has truly woken up. Now I also wish my brother will wake up soon. Now as for 'Pastor Sun'. CHC says Pastor Sun was never an ordained pastor and hence, we only call her Pastor out of love and respect. She did not have any official capacity as a pastor. Am I right? But, lo and behold, I still have the membership appointment letter where I was granted 'Ordinary Member' and the signature was from: Rev. Yeow-Sun Ho, Deputy Senior Pastor, 1998. So tell me, what does 'Rev' mean? What does Deputy Senior Pastor mean? If this is still not a 'Pastor'.... then I don't know what is a Pastor.

In early 2009, my illiterate late brother-in-law converted his expired S$30,000 OCBC Traditional Fixed Deposit into S$30,000 OCBC 5-year Equity-Linked Notes (ELN) upon the advice that the latter offered much higher interest rate. The OCBC bank staff who managed to convince him had claimed that both the FD and the ELN were safe products and 100% guaranteed by OCBC bank. Although I was informed one week (5-working days) later, after he had already signed the ELN contract, I told him to go terminate it immediately as the ELN's higher interest rate offered for the 5-year period was not risk-free, unlike the FD. Guess how OCBC bank helped him to terminate his ELN purchased only for one week (5-working days), then? The respective OCBC bank staff who served him again — cancelled the ELN and charged him a cancellation / admin fee of S$3,000 or 10% of S$30,000 without further advices and no questions asked. To date, I still wonder if a OCBC HNW client were to purchase a S$3m ELN or any other derivatives and structured investments, how much would he/she be charged upon early termination of contract? (Logically, based on my illiterate late brother-in-law's case, OCBC bank could legally charge its client a cancellation / admin fee of S$300,000 or 10% of S$3m.)
