NOL — A "Waterfall Decline", Interim TP S$0.66NOL closed with a shooting star unchanged @ S$0.76 with 3.87m shares done on 20 Nov 2014. Immediate support @ S$0.735, immediate resistance @ S$0.79. Bro zuolun, any updates on this counter? Thanks for your insights odie, Not much different from the last update on 3 Dec 2014 but based on the current BDI at 803 on 19 Dec 2014, NOL is likely to break the support @ S$0.735 to hit a new low @ S$0.66. I would rather wait patiently to buy NOL at higher price at Station No.15Positive view: The last low @ S$0.735 scored on 17 Nov 2014 may be retested to form a W-shaped pattern. If the share price v-turns after hitting S$0.735 and spikes higher high to hit the neckline @ S$0.85 breaking the resistance convincingly with > 14m shares; it may signal that NOL has found an intermediate bottom @ S$0.735 (double bottom formation). Alternative positive view: Should the share price hit S$0.735 again and continues its downtrend forming a lower low @ S$0.705, it may form an inverted H&S pattern, neckline @ S$0.85, with the left shoulder already formed. In an uptrend support holds, in a downtrend support breaks.Negative View: Should the share price hit S$0.735 again and just collapse without any technical rebound, then interim TP S$0.66.

Should the share price register a higher high at point D, the bearish Gartley suggests a strong pull back @ S$0.93. (Refer to Linc Energy's chart pattern below for cross-reference.) Expect the gap bet. 0.92 to 0.93 to be covered b4 a strong pull back. .

odie, Based on a longer timeframe and the gap theory on NOL, the marking at point D is incorrect, it should be at S$0.93. kindly ignore the chart with point D @ S$0.965.Bottom-fishing is the toughest gameplay in the stock market. Many longterm downtrend stocks with a W-shaped chart pattern tend to be at an intermediate bottom to trap more bulls. The real bottom must always be accompanied with solid and positive FA (turnaround with a profit). A higher high is usually followed by a strong pull back. For a downtrend stock like NOL, it may retest the record low @ S$0.735 or point A and move further down. However, for an uptrend stock the pull back may not be the case, instead, it is an opportunity to buy on dip @ the 20d SMA based on the theory that for uptrend stock support holds, for downtrend stock support breaks. (See below RMG's bearish gartley pattern).

Watch how the BDI moves further down (after a retest of the record low at 647 points) to gauge the -ve impact on NOL's share price. Should the share price register a higher high at point D, the bearish Gartley suggests a strong pull back @ S$0.93. (Refer to Linc Energy's chart pattern below for cross-reference.) NOL — Bearish Gartley FormationNOL closed with a shooting star @ S$0.895 (+0.015, +1.7%) with 13.3m shares done on 9 Jan 2015. Immediate support @ S$0.905, immediate resistance @ S$0.92. Expect the gap bet. 0.92 to 0.93 to be covered b4 a strong pull back. .
