At the moment, the Hyflux chart looks as bearish as those of the O&G stocks, just look at the diverging MAs in zuolun's chart. Perhaps a significant short term play is possible after contract announcement today (it's been some time...) although it's hard to see it returning to the glory days of its past. Net profit margin has eroded over the years with competition from chinese companies and recently, United Engineers as well.
I've no positions here. Seems like tough times ahead.

Bro Zuolun, i just watch a short clip on hyflux ceo olivia lum, her story on founding of hyflux,
needless to say, im quite touch by her passing grandma story and how she move to s'pore and study etc etc...
on hyflux T.A chart, is there any chance u see a recovery of the company share price ?

on hyflux T.A chart, is there any chance u see a recovery of the company share price ? Hyflux's success story is similar to SuperGroup i.e. 时势造英雄 (A hero is nothing but a product of his time.) Based on SA, SuperGroup may have a greater chance of survival than Hyflux (due to strong support from its major SSH, Sam Goi, the Popiah King.)  |

Hyflux-Mitsubishi consortium to build S$750m waste-to-energy plant in Tuas
The consortium will build Singapore's largest waste-to-energy plant in Tuas to help meet the country's electricity and waste disposal needs, says the National Environment Agency.

Together with the second project, Tuaspring Desalination Plant, which was also built by Hyflux, the two desalination plants can meet up to 25% of the nation’s current water needs, contributing to the diversification and sustainability of Singapore’s water supply.

A second and larger desalination plant with a capacity of 70 million gallons or 318,500 cubic metres of desalinated water per day, the Tuaspring Desalination Plant marks another major step in Singapore’s journey towards water sustainability. Today, desalinated water can meet up to 25% of Singapore’s current water demand.
The plan is to grow Singapore’s desalination capacity, so that the Fourth National Tap will be able to meet up to 25% of our future water demand by 2060.
