When a stock did not cave but rose after bad news, it shows strength on the buy side.

sptl123, Yanlord => Still water runs deep. 静水深不可测。Major China-based property developers are highly leveraged; gearing rose from 27% in 2009 to 94% in mid-2014 ~ 30 Jan 2015 In any stock market, it's all about supply and demand. From a chartist's point of view; buy stocks with good momentum and volume, which can reward you a good profit. Do not buy stocks with low or no volume and sit on them, these stocks are dead and dire cheap for a reason. (Bottom-fishing is the toughest gameplay in the stock market.) Watch the video clip and listen carefully from 1:50 to 1:59... the speaker has revealed an important fact about the stock market gameplay. "In the stock markets today, there are good companies that are overpriced and there are worthless companies that are overpriced. If you are going to be a fool and pay absurd prices because you think that a greater fool will appear in the future, make sure you buy a goat and not a monkey." Do not buy stocks that even worms also won't grow on them!

I am enlightened by the contents as they are inspiring and educational. sptl123, To understand the meaning of 围师必阙,穷寇勿追 see GP Batteries and SMRT i.e. should Yanlord make a sudden u-turn; you may get severe short squeeze at 50% or more from current share price. - No one knows why those tycoons made a concerted effort to invest in Yanlord, except themselves.
- No one knows why the big boss maintains his major stake in Yanlord since listing and keeps only a min. free float required by SGX past few years, except himself.
- With current limited free float, no BBs will be interested to goreng Yanlord and the stock is being played among the stale bulls or the losers.
- Don’t try to pick the bottom. Let someone else try to figure out what the bottom is...No use wasting your money guessing on where that point might be.

Thank you Bro Zuolun, Walau very lucky. Your example of GP Batteries and SMRT is two very good example of 围师必阙,穷寇勿追. I cautioned myself don't play play else can be OBK- jilat-jilat and die- pain- pain. Thank you General Zuolun. I like the two videos. Bro Zuolun, you are really super fast! 好又妙!一切儘在不言中。 sptl123, 围师必阙,穷寇勿追 is known as 'Exhaustive Reversal' in English. I learned my Technical Analysis in Chinese language. The Japanese candlestick charting techniques written in Chinese words are more meaningful than the English version. 'Exhaustive Reversal' is applicable to most badly whacked stocks, especially, Linc Energy, which has been extremely and terribly oversold.

You hit the nail on the head! When extreme meets, the reverse will happen. 物极必反,否极泰来。 or 'Exhaustive Reversal' is also applicable to any uptrend stocks as well. Most of the time, 我是对牛弹情。 (对牛弹琴不是牛的悲哀,而是弹情人的悲哀。)
