Hi Oldman, appreciate update on the weather condition. We had booked 2 Superior rooms (24 sq.m.) at Metropark Mongkok hotel as there are connecting rooms available. Price is reasonable at S$148.83 per night for Superior room at Metropark Mongkok Hotel as compared to - S$549 (HKD$3,400) in HK Disneyland Hotel or - S$379 (HKD$2,350) in Disney's Hollywood Hotel I prefer cheaper shopping option like Ladies Market. Weather in Hong Kong is back to hot and humid. Was out walking along Nathan Road last evening and was sweating by the time we got back. So, the hotel receptionist was right. Haze cleared up within a day. Sorry, I don't know Hong Kong well and cannot comment on the hotel. Tripadvisor is pretty good with her comments. Am in Citigate outlet mall now waiting for my wife and daughter to do their shopping!

Hi Oldman, How is the weather today? Has the haze clear? Wonder whether you have experience with Metropark Mongkok Hotel, which seems to be a value for money (S$129 per night) accommodation for a Standard room with room size of 19 sq.m. in Kowloon. We are visiting Hong Kong in September. Very hazy in Hong Kong today. According to the hotel folks, the haze here clears within a day. Hopefully, tomorrow it will be better to go outdoors.

Hi Oldman, great sharing of video on health benefit of taking nap. Found out why I am physically drained by now. ‘Nap salon’ to open in Tokyo for women who need a quick restThe Ohirune Cafe Corne – which would be Japan’s first “nap salon” for women – is set to open central Tokyo to give sleep-deprived women editors and workers a chance to rejuvenate, this announced Nemulog, the café’s operating company.the café will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. 8 Ways Napping Recharges Your BatteriesA Harvard study proved what nappers already know — that taking a nap can make you more productive for the rest of the day.
A study at NASA on sleepy military pilots and astronauts found that a 40-minute nap improved performance 34% and alertness 100%. Naps reduce mistakes and accidents.I always try to have a power nap in the afternoons....

Hi Oldman, thank you for sharing simple tip to become youthful. Life is full of fun when you learn new things all the time.
We have to keep our minds active and I simply love what I do... which is toying with everything I can lay my hands on! Also, by being hands on, it helps me understand the technologies better. Hence, you will not see me investing in a CCTV company. Hi Oldman, you are an amazing hands-on millionaire (or perhaps billionaire). Besides investing strategies, you are sharing very practical tips to save the nitty gritty stuff. Maybe you could sub-contract your service to fellow forumers who are not technology savvy.

Hi Oldman, you are an amazing hands-on millionaire (or perhaps billionaire). Besides investing strategies, you are sharing very practical tips to save the nitty gritty stuff. Maybe you could sub-contract your service to fellow forumers who are not technology savvy. My CCTV recorder was restarting every hour and I decided to get another one from AliExpress. If I called the CCTV company, they would have charged me $50 for the house call and on top of that, I have to pay for any parts that they replaced. Buying it directly from China costed me US$62 and it is a much better recorder with all the new features incorporated. I am still learning about the features and am impressed that setting up a CCTV system nowadays is really straight forward. No wonder prices for installation of CCTVs have gone down so much over the years to be more like a commodity rather than a systems integration effort in the past. Yes, not an easy business to do given the plug and play capabilities nowadays. The delivery from China was also very prompt. 2 weeks after ordering, the CCTV recorder arrived. www.aliexpress.com/item/free-shipping-8-channel-H-264-standalone-dvr/476422985.html

Hi Oldman, Thank you for sharing this video. Was rather surprised that it is a true life love story. The widow in Mind the Gap saga: Late actor's wife puts a face to the voice of the London UndergroundAfter the Tube train had disappeared into the tunnel, you could still find Dr Margaret McCollum sitting on the platform bench, lost in thought. A few minutes later, another train would arrive. 'Mind the gap!' said the voice on the loudspeaker to disembarking passengers, and Dr McCollum smiled... and still she stayed. For although that announcement became familiar to millions travelling on the London Underground at Embankment station, the voice had a special significance for Dr McCollum, a recently widowed GP 'He was never very far away in my head and in my heart,' she said. 'And knowing that I could go and listen to his voice was simply wonderful. It was a great comfort. 'I would go and sit on the platform, and sometimes miss a couple of trains just so I could hear it. Although he could do accents, it was his natural speaking voice – clear, precise, authoritative.

Hi Oldman, Indeed very impressive! Your maid is so lucky to find such a thoughtful employer. Heard lots of favourable reviews of iRobot Romba from my girl's classmates during one of the classmate's birthday party but heard mop version isn't as efficient. Sometimes, manual stuff works best if one prefers value for money. When we bought the iRobot Romba 780 a few years back, it was more a novelty. But we were surprised at how good this is and every afternoon at 12 noon, it starts itself and roams around the 2nd floor where the bedrooms are. Good thing is that it is able to go underneath the beds and clean the floor there. It collects lots of dust and the wonderful thing about it is that when its battery is going to get flat (90 min later), it will look for its home base and then docks itself and recharges itself. Damn smart piece of technology and it works damn well. Only thing that we have to do is to empty the container every 3 days. This saves the maid some time to do other things. Also, I think it does a much better job at sweeping the floor and best thing is that it just does its job without guidance and will not complain or go on leave. We really cannot do without it now! It is so good that we are now thinking of getting a second one which can mop the wooden floor called iRobot Braava. There is another model called Scooba but this leaves quite a lot of water behind and this will spoil the wooden floor and is dangerous for the kids when they run around. If you ever were to buy, do consider buying the brushes and filters from Amazon: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A77J8HM/ref=oh_details_o00_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Hi Oldman, Curious why you need to purchase iRobot Roomba since you have a Filipino maid to take care of the household chores.

Initially suspected that intestinal gas was caused by excessive consumption of gluten, protein found in wheat, rye, and barley. However, cutting down on soy protein seems to work. 10 Signs You're Gluten Intolerant
symptoms it could be a sign that you have gluten intolerance: 1. Digestive issues such as gas, bloating, diarrhea and even constipation. I see the constipation particularly in children after eating gluten. Soy Sensitivity
If you have a soy sensitivity, your body has trouble breaking down the proteins and sugars in soy. Any undigested soy sugars and proteins move through your digestive system. Eventually they get to the colon where they begin to cause you problems like diarrhea, cramping and trapped gas.Attachments:

Possessing strong willpower & optimistic outlook help this amazing being conquer adversity in life. Ibrahim Hamato, who lost both arms at age 10, still excels at table tennisNo arms. No problem. Ibrahim Hamato suffered a severe accident at age 10, losing both of his arms. More importantly to him, though, he lost his ability to play his favorite game — table tennis.
But Hamato, who resides in Egypt, wouldn’t let this deter him from playing the sport he loved. Just three years after losing his arms, Hamato got creative and developed a strategy using his mouth. And it worked.
"… I hope this shows people that nothing is imPOSSIBLE as long as you Work Hard," Hamato said.

Hi Oldman, Read your comment on FB, " I have not succeeded in getting my kids to read my investment book as I really want them to learn from my experience in life." Perhaps an illustrated financial book will be useful in encouraging your kids to learn the rope from their successful dad. Book review: Give Me a Hug – 8 Life lessons from Nick your kids cannot missHi Oldman, Applause for your kind thought & ambition to reach out to less well-off investors. It is my hope that one day, I will be able to identify a financial journalist
who can then take the latest postings that I have made in this website as well as future articles and then take his time to write a completely new investment book that will be made into an ebook and offered at a very low price so that everyone can have the chance to read this. Yes, this is one of my to-do items as I really want this book to show our Young how to be a better investor than I ever was. This will probably be my last book on investing and I want this to be a classic. The words should flow much better as a seasoned journalist will edit the text while I share as openly as I can about everything I know about money and the stock market. financialbookwormer.blogspot.sg/2014/04/your-first-million-making-it-in-stocks.html

Cheerful & positive attitude are traits that I need to emulate from her. The one legged dancer getting kudos from Salman KhanThe sheer handicap after a fatal accident and series of failed treatments leading to amputation of a leg, changes the life of common man but personal tragedies failed to dampen the spirits of Shubhreet. Not learnt to give up, the girl started her real life afresh and achieved unthinkable. Meet the one leg dancer Shubhreet Kaur Ghumman, native of small village Jhunda in district Sangrur, who due to her vivid dances with only one leg has become the darling of thousands of TV viewers. Her performance at India' got talent being aired at a TV channel changed all for her and now she is getting many takers.
