As there is a limitation on the amount of storage for attachments, appreciate if you can create an account in Dropbox or Flickr and upload your photos there. Then, use the Insert Picture icon found at the top right hand side of the create posting box to then provide the link to your picture in Dropbox or Flick. Thanks. www.dropbox.comwww.flickr.com |

still not able to post a image after posting the image into dropbox, it just shows a retangular box with a red cross  |

After uploading the picture on minus.com, click on "Share" Click on Direct Link and copy the detail in the direct link box & past in the Insert image icon in Pertama forum.  Hope that helps.  |

Hi Steven, glad the little tip is of assistance to you.  Looking forward to more sharings from you with visual upload.  This is one of my luckiest year in life as I am showered with lots of guidance by a mentor, especially the encouragement to me to take the time machine to pinpoint the investing mistakes (humongous investing loss racked during the peak in 1997 and dot "con" bubble  ) so that I will learn from them and NEVER EVER Repeat the Same Mistake again. He is also a life coach to transform my belief system.   Plus this marvellous kampung forum that covers all aspects of life, not restricted solely to investing.
 It occurs to me that maintaining a Calm mindset with harmony in family & social settings are beneficial for me to pursue value investing style.  |

Stevenlsf, I use dropbox with this site. Firstly, I have a bookmark link in a browser that points to dropbox. Everytime I click on this link, it will show me all the files that I have placed in the public folder of my dropbox. All I then need to do is to drag and drop any file from my Windows PC system onto the browser page. Then, all one needs to do is to right click on the file and then choose Copy Public Link. Finally, go to Pertama.com and click on the icon Insert Image and paste the link that you have copied from Dropbox.  Thanks candy, it works with minus.com here. I could not make it work with dropbox. |

The copy public link selection is only available if one has a public folder created by dropbox. for some reasons, may be for security, dropbox does not automatically activate and create a public folder when one opens a new dropbox account after October 2012. One would have to activate and create the public folder manually using the following link www.dropbox.com/enable_public_folderIt was described in the following help topic www.dropbox.com/help/16/enafter having created the public folder, then one can post image as described by oldman. Manually creating a new folder and renaming it "public" will not work the same. |
