I am still learning about the system. I think the email notification works in three ways. Firstly, if you post something and someone quotes you in your posting, you will be notified through email if you have set this under Profile, Edit Profile, Notifications. However, if someone replies to your posting instead, you will only receive an email towards the end of the day and this email will list down all the threads in which you have posted where someone else has replied during that day. Thirdly, if you have bookmarked that thread, any discussion in that thread will result in an immediate email notification to you. Do note that if someone has created a new thread within that discussion, you will not have bookmarked it and hence, you will not receive any email notification. For example, you may be following a board called Property Talk and then someone created a new thread for that board. You will not receive any email notification for this new thread until you have bookmarked it.
For stocks however, I have configured it such that one cannot create any new discussion threads under these and hence, once you have bookmarked any of these, you will receive all email notification for that stock that you have bookmarked. Hi Oldman, I have not received email notifications since 3 March even though I have chosen this option in my setting.   I am still learning about the system. You may want to log into your gmail email and check if gmail has put all these in the spam folder. If so, just right click on these and choose Not Spam.  |

Hi Oldman, I checked the Spam folder but no email notification from Pertama.  Perhaps I will come to Pertama forum & check the latest posting. You may want to log into your gmail email and check if gmail has put all these in the spam folder. If so, just right click on these and choose Not Spam.

Do let me know if it works. My email notification has also stopped and the hosting provider checked and told me that the emails were sent to my email address according to their logs. They are still investigating. Do let me know if changing the email address works. |

It appears to be system wide problem that the hosting company is sorting out. A posting in their support site:
The fix that went out last night was noted that it was more of a bandaid to get a quick fix out, but the devs are working on a more permanent solution that should hopefully be implemented before long.Hi Oldman, I have not received any email notification via my Yahoo mail since activation of the change in email address.
