I think many people die early because they worked themselves too hard. They may not realise that their bodies have aged even though mentally, they are still very active. Hence, the common perception of a 30 year old living in the body of a 50 year old. This is one of the reasons why I decided to retire early. Yes, I worked extra hard and took a lot of risks when I was younger. Towards my late 40's, I decided to slow down and spend more time with the family. There is nothing better in life than to wake up early and send the kids to school and then looking forward to picking them up. In between those times, I look at the stock market.... the market is here to serve you and not to command you... According to the statistics, life expectancy for a male in Singapore is around 80 years and a woman, 84.5 years. www.singstat.gov.sg/statistics/visualising_data/chart/Life_Expectancy_At_Birth.html

Enya - Only Time
It's the process that makes life more enjoyable than the outcome.

oldman, This thread's name is a literal translation of a Chinese proverb '人生七十古来稀'. As a non-Chinese reader, I'm quite surprised that you're aware that this is an obituary thread. All Good Things Come To An End
