Have not been very keen in gardening until someone sent my wife a box of Misai Kuching Herbal Tea from Malaysia claiming that the tea is good for controlling blood sugar in the body. I started digging all about how to plant and propagate Misai Kuching in my high-rise apartment and got a potted plant from the market for about SGD$7/=. ms-my.facebook.com/Paulccho/timelineMy wife used to drink glucoscare herbal tea which she claimed was useful to control blood sugar while taking the usual medicines prescribed for her www.glucoscare.com/Both type of Herbal tea are not really cheap here in Singapore costing about SGD$25/= for a box of about 40 to 60 sachets. Misai Kuching tea bags are only available in Malaysia. Then I found out it was not cheap to buy compost and fertilisers so I found an unusual and cost effective way to make compost from food waste that can be applied safely in high-rise apartment without having to smell rotten compost everyday. Sounds like a lot of work to make compost! I normally just buy the soil from the garden centres and then put fertilisers every now and then. I like plants as most of them grow virtually by themselves without much intervention needed. Always wonderful seeing plants grow from nothing. How I wish stock investing is like that.... leave it alone and it will grow. Yes, I spend quite a bit of time in the garden as I find this a very relaxing activity.
