说上涨机率有70%,但他却选择放空? 看懂了,你就不会再问别人看涨看跌。 ~ 10 Mar 2015
If I were to trade NOL, I will buy at the current price level (94.5 cents) and have a cut loss plan. My friend in shipping industry told me that shipping companies will be making good money because of the low oil price.
If you refer to the above article posted by zuolun, you will understand what I meant.
Having said that, I think Samudera is a better bet. Both the FA and TA for Samudera look good.

web, I won't buy NOL @ S$0.945 but I may buy at the bullish breakout of the complex inverse H&S, neckline @ S$1.035 or higher. A W-shaped chart pattern in NOL's chart could be an intermediate short-term trend reversal. No one knows whether NOL is on solid or mud ground until the price sits firmly at Station No.15.说上涨机率有70%,但他却选择放空? 看懂了,你就不会再问别人看涨看跌。 ~ 10 Mar 2015 If I were to trade NOL, I will buy at the current price level (94.5 cents) and have a cut loss plan. Both the FA and TA for Samudera look good. sptl123, In an uptrend support holds, in a downtrend support breaks. NOL hits low of S$0.93 today, my gut-feel tells me that NOL is likely to breakdown and retest the last low @ S$0.735. Alternative view (-ve) :NOL ~ Double Top Formation, critical support @ S$0.93NOL traded unchanged @ S$0.945 with 1.59m shares done on 16 Mar 2015 at 3.20pm. Critical support @ S$0.93, immediate resistance @ S$0.96. If the critical support @ S$0.93 is broken convincingly with extremely high volume, the bullish complex inverse head and shoulder pattern will be invalid and should the double top pattern materialize, it would be a horrible nightmare for the bulls because the price will plunge all the way down to retest the last low @ S$0.735 forming a double bottom pattern. The probability of NOL retesting the last low @ S$0.735 is similar to the WTI oil chart.

NOL’s recovery hopes sink as shipping industry woes intensify ~ 6 Apr 2015 Don’t try to pick the bottom. Let someone else try to figure out what the bottom is...No use wasting your money guessing on where that point might be. Among the 4 major gameplays in the stock market; the toughest one is no. 4. 1. IPO play 2. Fundamentals & Dividends play 3. M&A play 4. Turnaround/bottom-picking play SUPERMX and NOL are 2 very tough stocks (no.4), where retail players long or short also get killed by the major cheng kay at current price level.

S$0.93 to S$1.035 since 29 Jan 2014 to 10 Apr 2015 (ignore the false breakdown from 1 Oct 2014 to 13 Jan 2015).
- Turnaround/bottom-picking play is the toughest gameplay in the stock market because the waiting time could stretch from 3 to 8 qtrs and sometimes might extend to afew years (see Ellipsiz and MPI for bullish long rectangle breakout).
- If you're prepared to buy and hold NOL for longterm investment; use the 12 qtrs timeframe to gauge the bottoming out, starting from 29 Jan 2014.

Bro Zuolun thank you so much for so many useful links. So gloomy landscape in the shipping related business. After reading the links I took profit on NOL. It has gone up about 10% in the last few days. As you say before 见好就收 "quit while you are ahead" sptl123, Make hay while the sun shines. The latest gloomy shipping news will only have -ve impact on NOL after the major cheng kay has finished his goreng business on the stock. Chartwise, NOL is extremely overbought with stochastic > 80. However, based on price action, trading volume and the share price trading above the 4 SMA, buy for 2nd round should the price back down; especially near the 20d SMA.
