"Many years ago, I was in a bucket shop on soft commodities. Never forget the coffee bean, live cattles, live hogs and frozen pork bellies on Knight Rider system. If I am transported back in time to the same bucket shop, I will imagine that the live cattles & live hogs got tired of eating soy beans....lol." - pain I ever traded cotton yarns and soy beans in the mid-80's; those days, the min. amt required to open such a trading account in a bucket shop on soft commodities was S$10K. Fall off in demand for soy bean from China / Japan? Abundant crop of supply in soy bean from soybean producing countries? Consumers switching taste buds from soy bean to other products (e.g. pork bellies?) Hoarders let go their soy bean stocks? Novice in TA but I see the price in fact bottomed from yr chart and is rising in line with MACD? Right / Wrong? Many years ago, I was in a bucket shop on soft commodities. Sorry..Bro Zuolun..your chart brought back memories of pain.

2 years ago, I saw a guy who was the 'sifu' guiding us on the soft commodities trading. Being curious, I followed him discreetly into a building and was shocked that he is working as a security guard (he is in his late 40s). He did not recognise me at all. I did not speak to him and left. Classic case of the blind following the blind or he had traded huge positions? or both. The min. amt requred at that time was S$6,000. Bro Zuolun, your style of writing and in depth TA analysis did remind me of 1 person in SI (Chosumking - csk). "Many years ago, I was in a bucket shop on soft commodities. If people label him as "guru", some of them are convince with his theory. People still pay him $6K for the course. There's painful. May be working as security guard is his second / temp job?2 years ago, I saw a guy who was the 'sifu' guiding us on the soft commodities trading. No, I'm not SI's Chosumking or CSK. I spent alot of time, effort and tuition fees on TA in the 70's, 80's and 90's. But I actually learned and understood TA in 2003 during SARS. The TA lessons I learned then were taught in Chinese Language conducted by Wang Tao, a PRC Chinese guy who is now a naturalized Singaporean. He is currently working as a Technical Analyst at Thomson Reuters.

From your post, I believed you are not from my era. Those days, few of us will be grouped under this 'sifu' in bucket shop. Whatever the sifu did, we followed. Some of them will hand draw 'Points and Figures' chart. Yup, by hand on graphic paper and pencil. If sifu called on a buy on coffee, all of us will have similar positions. I was introduced TA this way and bought John Murphy book(costs US$100++ from MPH). It's possible that the various sifu's takes opposing position to one team but as a whole we are trading in CBOT. They are not like the current guru's deploying internet, youtubes, seminars, etc..whereby you paid a figure to listen and participate in their 'simulated' or a day of 'live trade' training. Definitely he was not a guard at that time(25 years ago). Probably, he was guiding the live hogs gobbling all the coffee beans leading to limit downs for frozen pork bellies. Kidding. Well, this is my first Pain from years ago. If people label him as "guru", some of them are convince with his theory. People still pay him $6K for the course. There's painful. side track a bit... Malaysia will never be able to achieve its 2020 goal by depending it's natural resources such as crude oil, rubber and palm oil. Worst is that corruption is at all level, from the very top to the bottom.
